Our Facilities

We can pack your potatoes into returnable trays, paper sacks and cardboard boxes, from 500g to 25kg.

We have commenced work on our new purpose-built Packhouse at our Head Office site in Macclesfield, with the aimed completion date being Autumn 2024. The site will have the ability to supply loose flow product and pre-packed potatoes in any bespoke size formats to cater for our customers’ needs. In addition, the site will have a state-of-the-art vehicle repair garage which will better enable us to repair and maintain our fleet of vehicles.

In line with our environmental policy, the site will use recycled water to wash the potatoes. In addition, solar panels will be installed to provide renewable energy to power the facility.

Potatoes have been programmed to be grown by local growers and delivered to our Cheshire site, so as to keep our food miles to a minimum.

Our Packhouse near Doncaster operates 7 days a week. We pack to order so all our deliveries are at optimum quality.

We pack for all our retail customers at our Packhouse near to Doncaster. We have the flexibility to pack long, high volume runs along with smaller volume runs efficiently. Our exceptional agility to undertake quick changeovers gives us full flexibility to supply all of our customers’ requirements.

1,200 tonne chambre to allow high speed cooling/heating conditioning of potatoes prior to packing. In addition, this system sufficiently cures new season potatoes minimising bacterial issues.
Extensive on site multi-skilled engineering team provides preventative maintenance, immediate breakdown support and continual improvement initiatives.
The Epworth Packhouse is ideally located in the centre of the country with excellent links to major motorways to all areas of the country.
